A hospital based in Maryland is in need of a nurse practitioner who is able to provide locum tenens coverage for seventeen days beginning in mid-June (or sooner) with a high chance of extension. On the job, the locum tenens NP can expect to see between twelve and fourteen newborn patients per day for a variety of cases: Procedures - Intubation, UA/UV placement, PICC lines, ventilator (conventional and high frequency oscillation) management, arterial and venous blood drawing, urine and suprapubic catheterization, lumbar puncture, needle aspiration and chest tube placement. The provider's schedule will be either from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. or from 7 a.m. to 7 a.m. This facility uses Meditech EHR, Neodata EMR and will provide paid training.
