Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Field Engineering is seeking a highly motivated systems engineer to join our F-35 test design and integration team. This position will require your participation in all aspects of the system development life cycle activities with a primary focus of hardware/software integration of radar support equipment that will facilitate mode and platform integration. This will including both RF and digital scenario generation systems that interface with the radar in addition to other aircraft systems for integration and requirement verification activities in Baltimore and at customer locations. This job may be filled as a Systems Engineer or a PrincipalSystems Engineer.Basic Qualifications for a Systems Engineer: Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related technical field and 2 years' experience Experience in hardwaresoftware integration of embedded systems Basic knowledge of RF fundamentals including radar operations Experience with lab support equipment such as digital oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers Experience with MATLAB, C, C++, Effective verbal and written communication, ability to work in a team environment Ability and willingness to travel to customer locations that include business trips and short term travel to customer facilities at CONUS locations. Most travel to customer locations would occur after development efforts in Baltimore are complete or near completion. Secret Clearance investigated within the last 5 years, with the ability to gain program specific clearances. U.S. Citizenship is a pre-requisite Preferred Qualifications: Experience with FPGA code development and integration Experience with VxWorks real-time OS Knowledge of Radar Modes Basic Qualifications of a Principal Systems Engineer: Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related technical field and 5 years' experience; 3 years with a Masters Experience in hardwaresoftware integration of embedded systems Basic knowledge of RF fundamentals including radar operations Experience with lab support equipment such as digital oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers Experience with MATLAB, C, C++ Team Leadership experience with the demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate across multiple engineering disciplines. Effective verbal and written communication, ability to work in a team environment Ability and willingness to travel to customer locations that include business trips and short term travel to customer facilities at CONUS locations. Most travel to customer locations would occur after development efforts in Baltimore are complete or near completion Secret Clearance investigated within the last 5 years, with the ability to gain program specific clearances.
